Wedding day essentials

As a bridal hair and make up artist I get a good insight to a bride's special day - from seeing what they have for breakfast to helping them put their veil in just before they set off. The morning goes so quickly!

You don't want to be worrying about your daytime essentials so I've put together a few little saviours that will help to keep you feeling fresh, gorgeous and without a hair out of place.

Deodorant (roll on or spray)

This will keep you feeling fresh though out the day - from the nervous moments saying 'I do' to showing off your best moves on the dance floor!

Compact mirror

A handy little number that is great for in the car touch-ups or to check you haven't got any unwanted dinner hiding in your teeth before talking to all of your guests!

Lipstick & balm

Whether it's in the morning or in the evening when you fancy a change of colour, it's always handy to have your favourite lipstick close by. If your lips tend to get a little dry (especially in the winter months) also carry a balm with you - Elizabeth Arden 8 hour balm or Lucas paw paw are perfect!

Powder or blot sheets

These are perfect for blotting away the shiny t-zone that creeps up on you as the night comes along. You'll be looking shine free and flawless even in those evening photographs.

Hair grips

For the unruly hairs that escape even the most perfect of up-dos. I usually put together a little selection of grips for the bridal party to see them through the day.
